Features · Deposits and no-shows
No-shows, covered.
Ask for a deposit, full payment or a card on file when clients book online, from everyone or new clients only. When someone doesn’t come, keep the deposit or charge their saved card.
14 days free. No card needed.
Online, the way you want it
Choose what online bookings ask for, and the page takes it on Stripe’s secure page, with your cancellation policy beside it. The time is held while they pay.
- A deposit, as a fixed amount or a percentage of the booking
- Payment in full
- A card on file, saved without charging it
- From everyone or new clients only, and only above an amount you choose
Phone bookings too
Send a deposit request by text or email, charge a saved card, use the card reader, or record cash, EFTPOS or a bank transfer. Ask a client to save a card by text or email.
Deposits are credit on their account
A deposit sits on the client’s account until they come in, and comes off the bill when you press Use credit at checkout. If they cancel or don’t come, it stays there for next time, and you can refund it whenever they ask.
The fee is your call
Mark a no-show or late cancellation and FullColumn suggests your fee. Keep the deposit as the fee, or charge their saved card in one click. Nothing is charged by itself.
Your money, straight to you
Payments go through your own Stripe account to your bank, at Stripe’s usual rates. We add no fees, and clients never pay a surcharge.
Questions
Does FullColumn charge no-show fees automatically?
No. It suggests the fee when you mark a no-show or cancel; you choose whether to charge it.
Does the deposit come off the bill by itself?
No. At checkout, press Use credit. It’s never used without you choosing to.
What happens to a deposit when a client cancels?
It stays on their account as credit for next time, and you can refund it if they ask.
Do I need a Stripe account?
Yes, for card payments and deposits. Set one up or link the one you have from FullColumn, on Stripe’s own pages: there are no keys to copy.
Do clients pay a card fee?
No. FullColumn never adds a surcharge. Stripe’s usual fees come out of what you’re paid.
