Terms of Service
Last updated 24 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between VP Labs Pty Ltd (ABN 14 660 158 323), which runs FullColumn (“we”, “us”), and the business that signs up for it (“you”). They cover FullColumn’s website, app and booking pages. By creating a salon or using FullColumn, you agree to them, and the person who signs up confirms they can agree for the business.
1. The service
FullColumn is software for running a hair salon: the calendar, client cards, checkout, online booking, reminders and marketing, consultation forms, reports and the rest, used in a web browser on computers, tablets and phones.
We keep improving FullColumn, so features change. We won’t take away something it’s built around (the calendar, client records, checkout, online booking, or getting your data out) without telling you at least 30 days before.
2. Your account and your team
- You’re responsible for the people you add to your team, the permissions you give them, and what they do in FullColumn.
- Keep passwords and PINs private, use two-step sign-in where you can, and tell us straight away if you think someone has signed in who shouldn’t have.
- The salon’s owners manage its plan and billing and can download all of its data.
- Give us correct details about your business, and keep them up to date.
3. The free trial
- A new salon gets 14 days with every feature and 50 texts to send, with no card needed.
- You can choose a plan any time during the trial. Nothing is charged until the trial ends.
- If the trial ends without a plan, your salon becomes read-only: your team can still sign in, look things up and download your data, but nothing can be changed, no messages are sent, and online booking is paused until you choose a plan.
- We may end a trial early if it’s being misused.
4. Price
There’s one plan, with every feature in it. Its price depends on two things:
- Team members with a column on the calendar, on a sliding scale: each one after the first costs the same or less, and you never pay for more than 10. Reception and admin logins without a column are free.
- The texts you choose each month, as a bundle, also on a sliding scale.
Our current prices are on our pricing page and in Plan & billing in FullColumn. They don’t include GST: Australian businesses pay 10% GST on top, shown on each tax invoice.
We may change our prices. We’ll tell you at least 30 days before a change applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
5. Billing
- Your plan is billed monthly in advance, to the card you give when you choose it, through Stripe.
- When you add a team member to the calendar, or take one off, your plan changes with it, and the difference for the rest of the month is added to or taken off your next bill.
- More texts in your bundle apply straight away, with the difference on your next bill; fewer apply from the next month.
- Texts beyond your bundle cost 10c each, before GST, on your next bill (or a final bill when your plan ends). You set a monthly limit for them, which starts at $50; past it, marketing texts wait for the next month, but confirmations and reminders still go. Texts in your bundle that you don’t use don’t carry over.
- If a payment fails, Stripe tries again and your salon keeps working, with a notice in FullColumn. If it still can’t be paid, your salon becomes read-only until it is.
- Your invoices are in Plan & billing.
6. Texts and email
- FullColumn sends your texts and emails through our providers, so you don’t need accounts of your own. Texts come from a phone number: one shared between salons, or one of your own if we’ve given you one. Emails come from your salon’s name, and replies go to your salon’s email address.
- Texts are counted in credits: a text of up to 160 characters (70 with emoji) is one credit, and longer texts use more. Texts to some countries use more credits. FullColumn shows what you’ve used this month.
- We can’t promise that every message arrives: phone networks and inboxes are outside our control. FullColumn’s message log shows what was sent and what was delivered.
- We may pause your marketing texts (never your confirmations and reminders) if we receive complaints about them or a phone network asks us to. We’ll tell you why.
7. Your responsibilities
- Use FullColumn lawfully, including the Spam Act 2003 and the Privacy Act 1988 where they apply to you.
- Only send marketing to clients who have agreed to it. FullColumn only sends campaigns and automatic marketing to clients marked as agreeing, adds a way to opt out, and stops when a client replies STOP, but it’s up to you to record each client’s agreement correctly.
- Tell your clients how you handle their information. Health information, like allergies and consultation answers, needs your clients’ consent to collect.
- Don’t put card numbers, passwords or similar details in notes, forms or messages.
- Don’t misuse FullColumn: no getting into what you shouldn’t, testing our security without our permission, overloading it, copying or reselling it, or using it to send anything unlawful, misleading or abusive.
8. Card payments
- Card payments go through your own Stripe account, connected to FullColumn. Stripe’s own terms, including its Connected Account Agreement, apply to that account, and you agree to them with Stripe.
- The money goes from Stripe to your bank account. You pay Stripe’s usual fees; FullColumn adds no fees and takes no share.
- You’re responsible for your refunds, disputes and chargebacks, and for the prices and policies you show your clients, including your deposit and cancellation policy.
- If you disconnect Stripe, online payments stop and your clients’ saved cards are forgotten.
9. Your data
- Your salon’s data (its clients, appointments, sales, notes, formulas, forms, photos and messages) belongs to you. You let us store and use it only to run FullColumn for you, as our Data Processing Agreement says. It’s part of these terms.
- You can download everything at any time without asking us, including after your plan ends.
- Your salon keeps 30 days of history, so if something goes badly wrong (an import, or records deleted by mistake), we can put it back to an earlier time when an owner asks. Messages already sent and card payments can’t be undone that way.
- We use information about how FullColumn is used, not your clients’ details, to run, protect and improve it.
10. Support
- Contact us at contact@fullcolumn.com. We’ll help as soon as we reasonably can, during Australian business hours.
- We only see inside your salon when an owner lets us in (Settings → Security), for as long as they choose. Each visit is for an hour at most, with a reason, and your owners see who visited, when and why.
11. Availability
- We work to keep FullColumn running and fast, but we can’t promise it will never be interrupted. Maintenance may need short pauses, which we’ll keep outside salons’ busy hours where we can.
- We aren’t responsible for problems caused by your internet connection or devices, or by services we don’t control, like phone networks, Stripe and email providers, except as the law requires.
12. Cancelling
- Cancel any time in Plan & billing. Your plan runs to the end of the month you’ve paid for, then ends. We don’t refund part months, except where the law says we must.
- Once your plan ends (or your free trial ends without one), your salon is read-only: owners can still sign in and download everything. We keep your salon’s data for 90 days after your plan ends, so you can take it with you or come back, then delete it. We email the people who manage your plan or can download everything 30 days and 7 days before, and never delete it sooner than 7 days after the last email. Ask us if you’d like it deleted sooner.
13. Suspending or ending your account
- We may make your salon read-only, or suspend it, if you don’t pay, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we need to in order to protect FullColumn, your clients or anyone else (for example, to stop spam). Where we can, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
- We may end our agreement with you for any other reason, or stop offering FullColumn, by telling you at least 90 days before. We’ll refund anything you’ve paid for time after it ends.
14. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under it.
Where the law lets us limit our liability for not meeting a guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
15. Liability
- As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, and our total liability to you under or in connection with these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused it.
- You’re responsible for claims against us that arise from your use of FullColumn in breach of these terms or the law, such as marketing sent without a client’s agreement, and for our reasonable costs of dealing with them.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll tell you about a change that affects you at least 30 days before it takes effect, by email or in FullColumn, and you can cancel before then if you don’t agree. Corrections and changes that don’t affect you take effect when we publish them here.
17. General
- These terms are governed by the law of Western Australia, and its courts can hear disputes about them.
- We’ll contact you by email or in FullColumn. You can contact us at contact@fullcolumn.com, or by post at Level 32, 152 St Georges Terrace, Perth WA 6000.
- If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right straight away doesn’t mean giving it up.
- You can’t transfer your account to someone else without our agreement. We may transfer ours to a business that takes over FullColumn, and we’ll tell you if we do.
- These terms, our Privacy Policy and our Data Processing Agreement are the whole agreement between us about FullColumn.
